Local Mission

Day Care- FPC sponsors a Day Care Ministry that is open to church members and the community at large. Open since 1996, this service affords working parents with a safe day care option for their children.

Pre-School- Since 1978 FPC has provided a pre-school program that is open to all families in the community. Our pre-school is open to members of all religious denominations and no specific religious education is involved in the curriculum. The cost is reasonable with scholarships available for qualifying applicants.

Mission Families – FPC sponsors at least 2 families on an ongoing basis. Sponsorship includes financial assistance to purchase food or other necessities during holiday seasons.

Food Bank – FPC is active in supporting our community Food Bank. Our support includes collection and distribution of needed food items as well as financial assistance.

Habitat for Humanity – FPC is a regular and enthusiastic supporter of the Wells County chapter of Habitat for Humanity. In addition to ongoing financial support, FPC regularly furnishes work details on Habitat worksites. Several of our members are active on Habitat's board of directors.

Boys and Girls Club – FPC is an active supporter of Boys and Girls Club.

Church World Service School Kits/Health Kits/Kid Kits/Baby Kits – We regularly support CWS's efforts to provide needed educational and health care kits for people in impoverished and "at risk" areas.

School Supplies – We regularly provide school supplies and clothing items to help support students in schools in our community.

Kate's (Edna's) Kitchen, Food Outreach Program – FPC partners with other area churches to provide a hot meal for needy families in the Bluffton area on a weekly basis. On each Wednesday evening, between 200 and 250 meals are served at the kitchen with each church taking a turn in preparing and serving the meal. Also, gift bags are given to the families during special holidays.

2 Cents a Meal – As an ongoing ministry, members of our congregation are encouraged to donate 2 cents each meal (about $22 per year) with this money being used to help feed hungry people.
